Hui Liangyu

Hui Liangyu (1944-) is the Vice Primier.  A Hui form Yushu, Jilin Province with a background in agricultural studies, he joined the CPC in 1966 and had a distinguished career in local administration. He went on to serve as Deputy Director General of Jilin Provincial Agricultural Bureau1 (977-1984) and had prominent roles in the Leading Party Members' Group of Jilin Provincial Agricultural and Animal Husbandry Department, in the CPC Baicheng Prefectural Committee, and in the Baicheng Prefectural Administrative Offices in Jilin Province, among other posts. From 1987-1990 he was Vice Governor of Jilin Province, and in the 1990s-early 2000s held several other leading roles in Anhui and Jiangsu Provincial Committees as well as being the Secretary of the CPC (1999-2002). Since 2003, he is aMember of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, Vice Premier of the State Council, and member of its Leading Party Members' Group. He is an Alternate member of the Fourteenth CPC Central Committee, a member of the Fifteenth through Seventeenth CPC Central Committees, and member of the Political Bureaus of the Sixteenth and Seventeenth CPC Central Committees.
