A double suicide bombing against Shia mosques in Sanaa, Yemen has left 137 dead and 357 wounded. Al-Azhar released a statement strongly condemning the attacks and asking the Yemeni people to combine behind Yemen’s “supreme interests” and to reject “division and sectarianism”. The Egyptian foreign ministry cursed the blasts in very strong terms and reaffirmed their position against any terrorist attacks aimed at civilians of any kind.
