[This statement addresses Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his proponents' presidential campaign during which presidential candidate Mir-Hossein Moussavi and several other figures of the Islamic Republic of Iran were accused of extensive corruption.]
The honorable and revolutionary people of Islamic Iran,
There is an obligation placed upon us which is not only our religious duty, but also a rational and national precept to safeguard the fruits of the revolution, independence, freedom, and the Islamic republic just as we protect our lives and even more than that, in order to insure its development through the legacy left to us by Imam Khomeini as a guiding light, and thus prevent the repetition of the tragedies and bitter memories of the days of the constitutionalist government and Reza Khan's dictatorship, which was a period of cultural void and disrespect when women became victims of violation and assault, and their honor and dignity was forgotten, and Iranians were accused of losing their identity ...A nation with a unique Islamic culture and a revolution paid for by the blood of our martyrs and the self sacrifice of selfless men and women and the bondage of noble and free-spirited people. We can surely not remain indifferent to the fate of such people, a people who is both aware and well-informed.
Lest it be said that under the pretense of so called disclosure, the honor and pride of those who made great sacrifices and are now the pillars of the system have been soiled. Thus, by extension, we shall be attacking the system as a whole, Imam Khomeini's era, and also those very values which saw us through the years of the holy defense. Otherwise, history may repeat itself in the overthrow of the Islamic and the republic dimensions of the system, in the most inhuman and unethical manner allowing the achievements of the revolution to go to waste and the oppressors reach their goals.
We all know that those accused of corruption must be handed down to the proper judicial authorities of the Islamic Republic and any self-perpetuated act of revealing documents against anyone without proper proof in a court of law, and permitting such details of a case to be made public will only cause greater unrest and instability where people's honor and reputation is concerned which is even more valuable than life itself in Islam.
Such ugly and futile acts will only lead to suspicion and instability causing division and discord, and will lead to greater misfortunes.
Iranian nation! It is necessary to act upon your religious duty to forbid the evil and fend off a greater and more wide-ranging form of corruption.
I am addressing myself to those who care for this regime, and I say that the first step to forbid the evil and prevent corruption is the conscious and wary participation of each and every one of our dear people in the June 12 presidential election.

باسمه تعالي �وَاتَّقُوا فِتْنَةً لاَتُصِيبَنَّ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا مِنكُمْ خَاصَّةً� ملت شريف و انقلابي ايران اسلامي! بر همه ما فرض شرعي و واجب الهي، عقلي، عقلائي و ملي است که انقلاب، استقلال، آزادي و جمهوري اسلامي را حفظ نموده و همانند جان و بلکه بالاتر از آن در نگهداري و رشد و بالندگي اش کوشا باشيم و با کياست ايماني و درايت ايراني و استعداد شکوفا شده و با هدايت هاي به يادگار مانده از عارف دوران، امام خميني (سلام الله عليه) مانع تکرار فجايع و حوادث تلخ دوران مشروطيت و استبداد رضاخاني باشيم. دوراني که بي فرهنگي و هتک حرمت اوج گرفت و عزّت و شخصيت زنان به فراموشي سپرده شد و ملت ايران به بي هويتي متهم گرديد. ملتي که داراي هويت خاص اسلامي ـ تاريخي منحصر به فرد خود بوده و نسبت به انقلاب اسلامي مان که خون بهاي شهيدان و جانبازي جانبازان و اسارت آزادگان و فداکاري ملت است، بي تفاوت نيستند. ملتي که هم فهيم است و هم آگاه. مبادا بگذاريم تحت عنوان به اصطلاح افشاگري، آبرو و عظمت و فداکاري هاي مسئولان عالي رتبه که ارکان نظام مي باشند، بلکه خود نظام و دوران امام امت و دفاع مقدس مورد هجمه غير اخلاقی و غير اسلامی قرار بگيرد که خود، تکرار تاريخ و زنگ خطري براي اضمحلال بُعد اسلاميت و جمهوريت نظام و موجب حاکميت استبداد و ديکتاتوري، آن هم به نحو بسيار غيراخلاقي و غيرانساني، می باشد و تمام زحمات چندين ساله نهضت و انقلاب به هدر برود و مستبدان و مستکبران به هدف خود برسند. همگان مي دانيم کساني را که مفسد مي پنداريم، بايد همراه با مدارک به محاکم دادگستري جمهوري اسلامي سپرد و افشا نمودن خودسرانه بدون ثبوت در محکمه و اجازه اعلان جزئيات و ايجاد ناامني نسبت به عِرض و آبروي مردم که از جان آن ها در اسلام بالاتر است، کاري بسيار زشت و ناپسند است. بعلاوه که اين حرکات مذبوحانه موجب ايجاد ناامني فکري و سوء ظن که عامل تفرقه و بدبختي است، مي گردد. ملت ايران؛ در اين رابطه لازم است با بيان يک وظيفه و حکم شرعي؛ يعني وجوب نهي از منکر و رفع و دفع فسادي که ممکن است دامن همه را بگيرد به شما و علاقه مندان به نظام مي گويم که اولين قدم نهي از منکر و جلوگيري از فساد نسبت به نظام و انقلاب، حضور آگاهانه تک تک شما ملت عزيز در روز 22خرداد در پای صندوق های رأی می باشد. يوسف صانعي 20/3/1388
