Egyptian President al-Sisi pays condolences for executed Coptic Christians during visit to Cathedral with Pope Tawadros II

Egyptian President al-Sisi paid a visit to Egyptian Coptic Orthodox Church Pope Tawadros II to extend his condolences regarding the killings of 21 Coptics by the Islamic State in Libya. This visit was a few hours after Egypt announced that it had conducted airstrikes on Islamic State targets. The Egyptian Pope Tawardros II extended his condolences to the families of the victims, asked all Egyptians to pray for peace, and that he believed the Egyptian state would do the right thing in protecting all of its people.
