Tunisia arrests 32 suspected militant Islamists who claimed to be planning ‘spectacular’ attacks

One day after Prime Minister Habib Essid took office and formed a secular-Islamist-coalition, reports emerged that Tunisian security forces had arrested 32 militant Islamists who had returned from fighting in Syria and were planning “spectacular” attacks. Tunisia has been cracking down on Islamists following the election of Habib Essid whose party was running on anti-terrorism platform in addition to Tunisia wanting to protect its revenue from tourism.
