Summary: The Egyptian Ministry of Social Solidarity signed a protocol of agreement with the Misr El Kheir Foundation and the Agyal Egypt Foundation. Signing the protocol were the Minister of Social Solidarity Ghada Wali and former Egyptian Mufti Ali Gomaa representing Misr El Kheir.

The protocol is meant to pave way for a new project sponsored by Misr El Kheir. In the video showing the signing of the protocol, Sheikh Ali Gomaa explained the importance of development and the fallacy of relying solely on materialism. Development, according to him, has to be guided by universal values that all human beings can accept and relate to like integrity and self-respect.

Misr El Kheir is a philanthropic and development-oriented foundation dedicated to addressing and working on ending poverty, unemployment, illiteracy and disease through various projects in education, health care and social cooperation. Agyal is a foundation focused on youth development. Like Misr El Kheir, their projects span across various fields in health care, education, youth empowerment and research. Both organizations try to reach out and support marginalized groups in Egyptian society.
