The Iraqi National Dialogue Front (Arabic: al-Jabha al-Iraqia li al-Hiwar al-Watani, also known as Hiwar) is a Sunni political group initially established as coalition of parties to represent the Sunni community in the Constitutional Drafting Committee in 2005. Founded by Saleh al-Mutlaq and Khalaf al-Ulayyan, the Front won 11 seats in the 2005 election and now holds 16 seats as part of Ayad Allawi’s Iraqiyya bloc. The group’s platform is secular and non -sectarian, endorsing the departure of foreign troops from Iraqi soil and the reconstruction of Iraqi institutions.
